Ama Shirley’s Chocolate Sauce

Remembering this recipe is easy. You only need 1 “unit” of each of the 5
ingredients!
1 bar 70% bittersweet chocolate broken up
(3-ounce bar), about ½ C
1 square butter (½ C)
1 C sugar
1 can (13 oz) evaporated milk (cow or goat milk)
1 tsp vanilla

1 tsp vanilla
Boil
ingredients several minutes, except vanilla, until thickened. Add vanilla after
it has thickened. Cool sauce. Drizzle over crêpes or ice cream when ready to
serve.
