Manti Turkey

Manti Turkey

If you’ve ever been to the Manti Pageant, near Manti’s temple in Utah,
this is what many street vendors serve.
Manti is also the place in Utah where thousands of turkeys make their homes—at least briefly.
By the way, Minerva Teichert is the artist that painted the murals inside the Manti Temple

4 LB boneless turkey or chicken pieces
1 C soy sauce
1 C vegetable oil
2 C 7-Up soda
8 oz prepared horseradish
4 TBL garlic powder

  1. Mix everything, except turkey, in a large bowl.  At turkey, cover and marinate in refrigerator for 24-hours.
  2. Cook meat on outdoor grill.
  3. The amount of marinade ingredients can be adjusted to taste, once you have some experience with the recipe.  It can easily be doubled.
