Yale Days Caramel Popcorn

Yale Days Caramel Popcorn

We made this during law school years at Yale. 
We have given it as neighbor gifts during the holidays.
Recipe from Lori and Stuart Wright from our Yale/New Haven LDS church branch.

½ C butter
2 C brown sugar
½ C corn syrup
1 TBL water
1 tsp baking soda
1 C unpopped popcorn—POPPED
almonds, cashews or other nuts

  1. Boil all ingredients EXCEPT baking soda and popcorn.  Boil rapidly, remove from heat and immediately add baking soda.  Stir down.
  2. Pour over popped corn and stir till well coated.
